The St. Mocha Story…

In 2014 brothers Stuart and David Fraser (pictured above) opened St. Mocha Coffee Shop at Balmaha, next to their family business, The Oak Tree Inn. Serving freshly-roasted speciality coffee, St. Mocha quickly became a hit, much loved by locals and visitors.

Not content with just serving coffee, the brothers created Loch Lomond Coffee Co, the area’s first coffee roasting facility. Ethically sourced coffee beans are roasted on-site with bags available to take away or order online.

The Loch Lomond Coffee Co. emblem is a striking red squirrel, with 50p from each retail bag of coffee sold going directly to red squirrel conservation in the National Park.

Following the success of St. Mocha in Balmaha, in 2019 The Station opened on Main Street in Aberfoyle, followed in 2020 by the UK’s first speciality drive-thru coffee shop on the A809 at Carbeth. Pay us a visit soon and enjoy good food and great coffee at St. Mocha.

“The name Balmaha derives from the Gaelic 'Bealach Mo-Cha’ the pass of Saint Mocha. The saint referred to is Kentigerna Patron Saint of the parish, an Irish widow who came to Balmaha to preach. She lived on the island Inchcailloch: the isle of the old woman ♡”
